Responsibilities
- Safely walk multiple dogs simultaneously in various neighborhoods and parks
- Provide timely updates to pet owners via text/email with photos/videos
- Administer basic care (water, treats, waste cleanup) during outings
- Maintain detailed records of each dog's behavior and health observations
- Adapt walking routes to weather conditions and pet energy levels
- Handle unexpected situations calmly (e.g., leash reactivity, weather changes)
- Build trust-based relationships with both pets and their owners
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year professional dog handling experience
- Current pet first/CPR certification or willingness to obtain
- Reliable transportation and smartphone with data plan
- Exceptional situational awareness and physical stamina
- Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple dogs of varying sizes/breeds
- Local knowledge of Colorado Springs terrain and climate
- Background check clearance required
