Responsibilities
- Provide safe, on-leash walks for 3-5 dogs per group in Detroit neighborhoods
- Monitor pet behavior, health, and environmental conditions during walks
- Administer basic care (water, waste cleanup, treats as instructed)
- Document detailed activity logs via our mobile app after each walk
- Transport pets in company vehicles for vet visits or daycare drop-offs
- Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols and client instructions
- Build rapport with pets and owners through consistent, loving care
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year professional dog walking or pet care experience
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Current pet CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and walk 5+ miles daily in all weather
- Excellent communication and time-management skills
- Trustworthy background check required
- Deep knowledge of dog behavior and breed-specific needs
- Local Detroit/Michigan residency preferred
