Responsibilities
- Greet & Engage: Provide a warm, welcoming greeting to all customers and offer assistance as needed throughout their shopping journey.
- Ring Sales: Efficiently operate the Point of Sale (POS) system to process customer transactions accurately and quickly.
- Cash Management: Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions with strict adherence to company policies, ensuring all drawer counts are accurate.
- Product Knowledge: Answer customer inquiries regarding products, prices, and promotions to ensure a knowledgeable shopping experience.
- Store Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, ensuring shelves are stocked and the environment is welcoming.
- Problem Resolution: Handle customer concerns or complaints professionally and escalate issues to management when necessary.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience as a Cashier or in a retail customer service role is preferred.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Skills: Strong basic math skills with the ability to handle money accurately; excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Interpersonal: A friendly, outgoing personality with a genuine desire to help others.
- Reliability: Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required by business needs.
