Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs promptly and professionally.
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately, processing cash, credit, and digital payments with precision.
- Handle customer inquiries, process returns and exchanges, and resolve any issues with a positive attitude.
- Monitor the cash drawer and maintain accurate daily reports and receipts.
- Assist with stocking shelves, organizing displays, and maintaining a clean and safe shopping environment.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient store operations during peak hours.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred but not always required).
- Previous experience as a cashier or in retail sales is highly desirable.
- Strong mathematical skills and the ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-first mindset.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights (up to 25 lbs).
- Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential.
