Responsibilities
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently and accurately, ensuring all transactions are processed correctly.
- Greet customers warmly as they enter the store and provide friendly, knowledgeable assistance.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions with precision and adhere to all cash handling policies.
- Assist with stocking shelves, organizing merchandise, and maintaining a clean, organized store environment.
- Process returns and exchanges according to company policy while ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate stock shortages to management promptly.
- Uphold the company’s visual merchandising standards and safety protocols at all times.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred.
- Previous experience in retail, customer service, or cash handling is a plus but not required.
- Strong math skills and the ability to make accurate change quickly.
- Excellent verbal communication skills and a positive, professional attitude.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Reliable transportation and a flexible schedule to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with POS systems.
