Responsibilities
- Greet every customer with a warm, professional welcome upon entering the store.
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems accurately and efficiently to process sales and returns.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions with strict attention to accuracy and cash reconciliation.
- Answer customer inquiries regarding product locations, prices, and store policies.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and tidy checkout area at all times.
- Assist with inventory management and stocking shelves as needed.
- Identify and suggest add-on sales or promotional items to customers.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent education required.
- Previous experience in retail, customer service, or cashier roles is preferred but not required.
- Strong mathematical skills and the ability to handle cash transactions with high accuracy.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- Proficiency with basic computer applications and POS software is a plus.
