Responsibilities
- Greet and Welcome: Provide a warm, friendly greeting to every customer entering the store.
- Transaction Processing: Accurately operate Point of Sale (POS) systems to process sales, returns, and exchanges.
- Cash Handling: Manage cash, credit, and gift card payments with precision and maintain a balanced drawer.
- Customer Assistance: Answer questions about products, provide recommendations, and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Store Maintenance: Keep the checkout area clean, organized, and fully stocked with supplies.
- Inventory Support: Assist the team with stocking shelves and organizing merchandise as needed.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: Prior experience as a cashier or in retail is preferred.
- Skills: Strong basic math skills and attention to detail.
- Communication: Excellent verbal communication skills with a professional demeanor.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
