Responsibilities
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems efficiently and accurately to process customer transactions.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit payments, ensuring all financial transactions are balanced at the end of the shift.
- Greet customers warmly upon arrival and provide exceptional customer service throughout their shopping experience.
- Assist customers with product inquiries, locating items in the store, and answering general questions.
- Manage returns, exchanges, and refunds in strict accordance with company policy.
- Keep the checkout area clean, organized, and fully stocked with necessary supplies.
- Adhere to all safety and security protocols regarding cash handling and store operations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is preferred but not required.
- Basic math skills and the ability to handle money accurately.
- Strong communication skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Previous experience as a cashier or in retail sales is a plus but we welcome first-time applicants.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Must be reliable and punctual with a flexible schedule availability.
