Responsibilities
- Accurately and efficiently process customer transactions using point-of-sale (POS) systems.
- Greet customers warmly upon entry and maintain a friendly, professional demeanor throughout their shopping experience.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit payments while ensuring all receipts and change are correct.
- Answer customer inquiries regarding product locations, prices, and store policies.
- Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe checkout area and sales floor.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient store operations and customer flow.
- Resolve minor customer issues and escalate complex complaints to the floor manager as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in retail, hospitality, or cash handling roles is preferred but not required.
- Strong numerical skills with the ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and varying shifts.
- Basic computer literacy and familiarity with POS systems.
