Responsibilities
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using the Point of Sale (POS) system.
- Greet customers warmly, assist with product selection, and answer inquiries regarding store policies and product availability.
- Handle cash, credit, and check transactions with strict accuracy and accountability.
- Keep the checkout area clean, organized, and well-stocked with bags and supplies.
- Assist with inventory counts, price changes, and stocking shelves as needed.
- Resolve customer inquiries and complaints in a professional and timely manner.
- Maintain a high standard of personal grooming and store appearance.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
- Previous experience in retail or cash handling is a plus but not required.
- Strong mathematical skills with the ability to handle cash transactions quickly and correctly.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
