Responsibilities
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately and efficiently to process customer transactions.
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with inquiries about products and services.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions with strict attention to detail and accuracy.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming checkout area at all times.
- Answer phone inquiries and assist with bagging items to ensure a seamless shopping experience.
- Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure high customer satisfaction levels.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Previous experience as a cashier or in a retail environment is a plus but not required.
- Strong mathematical skills and ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable attendance and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
