Responsibilities
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately to process customer purchases, including cash, credit, and debit transactions.
- Greet customers warmly upon entry and assist them with locating products within the store.
- Ensure the cash drawer is balanced at the beginning and end of every shift.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and returns professionally and efficiently.
- Keep the checkout area clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies like bags and receipt paper.
- Collaborate with the front-end team to maintain a smooth and efficient customer flow.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience as a cashier or in retail is a plus but not required.
- Strong mathematical skills with the ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Reliable attendance and a positive attitude.
- Availability to work weekends and holidays as needed.
