Responsibilities
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale system.
- Greet customers warmly upon entry and assist with finding products.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit payments while maintaining strict cash drawer accuracy.
- Bag merchandise and ensure the checkout area is clean, organized, and restocked.
- Answer customer inquiries regarding pricing, product availability, and store policies.
- Assist with processing returns, exchanges, and gift card transactions.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth store operations during peak hours.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent (preferred).
- Previous experience as a cashier or in retail is a plus but not required.
- Basic math skills and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable transportation and a positive attitude.
