Responsibilities
- Process customer purchases efficiently and accurately at the point of sale (POS) system.
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with finding products or answering inquiries.
- Handle cash, credit, and check transactions with strict attention to accuracy and accountability.
- Keep the checkout area clean, organized, and fully stocked with supplies.
- Resolve customer complaints or issues professionally and escalate when necessary.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth store operations during peak hours.
- Assist with inventory management and price checks as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
- Previous experience in retail or cashier roles is a plus but not required.
- Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail are essential.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Proficiency with technology and basic computer navigation.
