Responsibilities
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using point-of-sale (POS) systems.
- Greet customers warmly and assist with product inquiries to ensure a positive shopping experience.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions with strict adherence to company policies.
- Assist with bagging groceries and organizing the checkout area for optimal efficiency.
- Monitor and maintain the cleanliness of the register and surrounding workspace.
- Resolve customer complaints or concerns professionally and promptly.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Strong math skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights (up to 20 lbs).
- Previous retail or cashier experience is a plus but not required.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
