Responsibilities
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently at the checkout counter.
- Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service throughout their shopping experience.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions with precision and care.
- Assist with bagging groceries and maintaining a clean and organized checkout area.
- Answer customer inquiries regarding store policies, product locations, and pricing.
- Operate Point of Sale (POS) systems and handle returns or exchanges as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a smooth and efficient store operation.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Previous experience as a Cashier or in retail is preferred but not required.
- Strong math skills and the ability to handle money accurately and quickly.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Reliable attendance and a positive, customer-focused attitude.
- Basic computer literacy and familiarity with POS systems.
