Responsibilities
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems efficiently to process cash, credit, and debit transactions.
- Maintain accurate cash drawers and reconcile daily sales reports.
- Greet customers warmly, answer questions regarding products, and provide exceptional customer service.
- Handle returns, exchanges, and customer inquiries with patience and professionalism.
- Keep the checkout area clean, organized, and fully stocked with supplies.
- Assist with inventory management and stocking shelves as needed during slow periods.
- Adhere to all company policies, safety regulations, and loss prevention procedures.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Previous experience as a cashier or in a retail/hospitality setting is preferred.
- Strong basic math skills and the ability to handle cash transactions with 100% accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift light to moderate weights (up to 25 lbs).
- Reliable transportation is required.
- Availability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
