Responsibilities
- Process Transactions: Accurately ring up customer purchases using the Point of Sale (POS) system and handle various payment methods including cash, credit, and debit cards.
- Customer Service: Greet customers warmly, answer inquiries, and resolve any issues or complaints with a professional and friendly demeanor.
- Cash Management: Maintain accurate cash drawers at the end of each shift, including counting cash, making deposits, and balancing the register.
- Merchandising Support: Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and visually appealing sales floor by restocking shelves and folding merchandise.
- Return Handling: Process returns and exchanges efficiently while verifying receipts and product condition.
- Policy Adherence: Strictly adhere to company policies, safety regulations, and loss prevention procedures.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in retail or customer service preferred.
- Skills: Strong proficiency with POS systems (e.g., NCR, Toast, Square) and basic math skills.
- Communication: Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with diverse customers and team members.
- Reliability: Punctual, dependable, and able to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs occasionally.
