Responsibilities
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges efficiently.
- Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional service to ensure a positive shopping experience.
- Handle cash, credit, and check transactions with strict accuracy and accountability.
- Assist customers with product inquiries, locate items on the sales floor, and offer tailored recommendations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming checkout area and sales floor.
- Resolve customer complaints or concerns promptly and professionally.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient store operations during peak hours.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
- Previous cashier or retail experience is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong basic math skills with the ability to handle cash transactions with 100% accuracy.
- Proficiency in using computer systems and point-of-sale technology.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
