Responsibilities
- Process customer payments accurately using POS systems, cash, and digital payment methods
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting, assisting, and resolving inquiries
- Handle returns/exchanges according to company policies with professionalism
- Maintain organized checkout stations and ensure secure cash handling procedures
- Monitor inventory levels and report discrepancies to store management
- Bag merchandise efficiently and offer assistance with carryout when needed
- Collaborate with floor associates to ensure seamless customer experiences
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous cashier or retail experience preferred but not required
- Strong mathematical aptitude and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and handle physical tasks
- Basic computer proficiency with willingness to learn POS systems
