Responsibilities
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately and efficiently, handling cash, credit, and check transactions.
- Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional service throughout the checkout process.
- Process returns and exchanges according to company policy while maintaining customer satisfaction.
- Keep the checkout area clean, organized, and well-stocked with bags and supplies.
- Assist with inventory management by scanning items and verifying stock levels.
- Resolve customer inquiries and complaints in a professional and timely manner.
- Collaborate with the sales floor team to ensure a seamless shopping experience.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
- Previous experience in retail or cash handling is preferred.
- Strong mathematical skills with the ability to handle cash accurately.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Must be detail-oriented, reliable, and able to work a flexible schedule.
- Proficiency in basic computer operations.
