Responsibilities
- Expertly prepare and serve specialty coffee beverages using premium beans and precise techniques
- Engage warmly with customers, memorizing preferences and building genuine connections
- Maintain spotless cleanliness across espresso machines, brewing equipment, and service areas
- Process transactions accurately through our POS system while upselling seasonal specials
- Collaborate with baristas to optimize workflow during peak hours and special events
- Source and present fresh pastries and light food items with artistic presentation
- Contribute to inventory management and sustainable sourcing practices
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year professional barista experience with espresso mastery
- Deep knowledge of coffee origins, brewing methods, and flavor profiles
- Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Ability to multitask efficiently in fast-paced environments
- Basic math proficiency for cash handling and inventory tracking
- Flexible availability including early mornings, weekends, and holidays
- Food safety certification preferred (ServSafe or equivalent)
