Responsibilities
- Process customer transactions efficiently and accurately using the Point of Sale (POS) system.
- Greet customers warmly and provide product recommendations and assistance.
- Handle cash, credit, debit, and digital payments with strict accountability.
- Monitor the cash drawer daily and reconcile financial records at the end of each shift.
- Keep the checkout area clean, organized, and fully stocked with bags and supplies.
- Assist with bagging items and maintaining the cleanliness of the store exterior.
- Resolve customer inquiries and complaints with patience and a problem-solving attitude.
- Adhere to all company policies, safety regulations, and inventory control procedures.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) is required.
- Previous experience in retail, food service, or cash handling is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong basic math skills and the ability to handle money accurately under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse customers.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs repeatedly.
- Availability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Basic computer literacy and familiarity with POS software is a plus.
