Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive AI ethics frameworks aligned with 2026 regulatory landscapes (EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF)
- Lead cross-functional audits of ML models for bias, fairness, and compliance with evolving ethical standards
- Architect governance protocols for autonomous systems, emphasizing explainability and human oversight
- Partner with legal teams to navigate emerging AI legislation and liability frameworks
- Design stakeholder engagement strategies including public consultations and industry consortiums
- Establish internal ethics review boards and training programs for technical teams
- Author thought leadership positioning Nexus Horizons as the gold standard in responsible AI
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Ethics, Philosophy, Computer Science, Law, or related field with 5+ years in AI governance
- Proven expertise in implementing ethical AI frameworks (e.g., IEEE 7000, EU AI Act compliance)
- Deep understanding of ML fairness metrics, bias mitigation techniques, and explainable AI (XAI)
- Experience with regulatory bodies (NIST, OECD, ACM) and policy development processes
- Exceptional communication skills translating complex ethical concepts for technical and non-technical audiences
- Published research or industry whitepapers on AI ethics, existential risk, or technology governance
- Proficiency in Python for ethical auditing tools and familiarity with ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch)
