Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the 2026 innovation strategy aligning with long-term business objectives
- Lead cross-functional teams to conceptualize, prototype, and launch disruptive technologies
- Identify emerging tech trends (AI, quantum computing, Web3) and integrate into innovation pipeline
- Secure $5M+ annual R&D budget through compelling business cases and ROI modeling
- Establish partnerships with Silicon Valley startups, academic institutions, and industry leaders
- Present strategic roadmaps to the board and executive leadership quarterly
- Mentor innovation fellows and cultivate a culture of calculated risk-taking
Qualifications
- 15+ years in tech innovation with 5+ years in executive leadership
- Proven track record of launching breakthrough products with $100M+ revenue impact
- Expertise in emerging technologies: generative AI, blockchain, or immersive computing
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Business (MBA preferred)
- Portfolio of 3+ scaled innovations with measurable market disruption
- Certification in innovation management (e.g., PDMA, CMI) or equivalent
- Exceptional communication skills for executive stakeholder management
- Experience securing federal/state innovation grants (SBIR, DOE, etc.)
