Responsibilities
- Process customer payments accurately using POS systems and cash registers
- Provide outstanding service by greeting customers, answering inquiries, and resolving issues
- Maintain clean and organized checkout areas and surrounding spaces
- Operate scanning equipment and handle returns/exchanges per company policy
- Balance cash drawers and reconcile transactions at shift end
- Upsell products and promote store loyalty programs
- Assist with inventory management and stock replenishment as needed
Qualifications
- Previous cashier or retail experience preferred but not required
- Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
