Responsibilities
- Greet and assist customers with a friendly, professional demeanor to ensure a positive shopping experience.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately and efficiently, processing transactions and handling cash or card payments.
- Restock merchandise on shelves and racks, ensuring products are displayed neatly and attractively according to visual merchandising guidelines.
- Organize the stockroom and maintain a clean, safe, and organized sales floor environment.
- Assist customers in locating products and providing knowledgeable information about product features and availability.
- Handle customer inquiries, returns, and exchanges with a focus on conflict resolution and satisfaction.
- Participate in weekly team meetings and training sessions to stay updated on product knowledge and company policies.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; prior retail experience is a plus but not mandatory.
- Must be available to work weekends, specifically Saturdays and Sundays.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic math skills and ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, as well as lift and move merchandise weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Proficiency with computers and POS systems is preferred.
- A positive attitude and a willingness to learn new processes quickly.
