Responsibilities
- Customer Assistance: Greet and assist customers warmly, answering questions and providing product recommendations to ensure a positive shopping experience.
- Store Operations: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe store environment by stocking shelves, folding merchandise, and ensuring displays are visually appealing.
- Point of Sale (POS): Process transactions accurately at the register, handling cash, credit cards, and digital payments efficiently.
- Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, conduct regular inventory counts, and restock items to prevent out-of-stock situations.
- Issue Resolution: Handle customer returns, exchanges, and complaints with patience and professionalism, escalating complex issues to management when necessary.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth operations and achieve daily sales targets.
- General Maintenance: Perform light cleaning duties, such as sweeping floors and organizing the break area, to uphold company standards.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED is preferred; experience is a plus but not mandatory.
- Availability: Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and/or Sunday).
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to interact positively with a diverse customer base.
- Reliability: A track record of punctuality and dependability is essential.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, walk, bend, and lift light to moderate objects (up to 25 lbs).
- Skills: Basic math skills for cash handling and the ability to learn POS systems quickly.
