Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome customers warmly, ensuring a positive first impression and maintaining high standards of customer service.
- Process sales transactions accurately using point-of-sale (POS) systems and handle cash or card payments with strict adherence to security protocols.
- Assist in inventory management, including restocking shelves and ensuring product displays are organized and visually appealing.
- Answer customer inquiries regarding products, services, and store policies in a clear and professional manner.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless operations during peak weekend hours.
- Handle customer complaints or issues professionally and escalate them to management when necessary.
- Keep the sales floor clean, safe, and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required; prior customer service experience is a plus but not mandatory.
- Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) consistently.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with a diverse customer base.
- Basic math skills and accuracy with cash handling and point-of-sale systems.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs as needed.
- Reliable transportation to and from the Washington, DC location.
- Must pass a background check and drug screen as part of the immediate hiring process.
