Responsibilities
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems efficiently and accurately, handling cash, credit, and gift cards.
- Greet customers warmly upon entry and assist them in finding products they need.
- Process returns, exchanges, and refunds according to company policy.
- Keep the checkout area clean, organized, and fully stocked with supplies.
- Monitor the sales floor for inventory needs and assist with stocking shelves when not at the register.
- Answer customer inquiries regarding store hours, products, and promotions.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience as a cashier or in retail is preferred but not required (training provided).
- Strong numerical skills and ability to handle money with 100% accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Must be available to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.
