As a Dog Walker with Hawaii Paws & Walks, you will play a vital role in the health and happiness of our furry clients. You will be responsible for ensuring that every dog receives the exercise, attention, and care they deserve while their owners are away.
Responsibilities
- Exercise & Play: Provide daily exercise and mental stimulation through walking and play for dogs of all breeds and sizes.
- Safety First: Strictly adhere to leash rules and ensure dogs are safely monitored at all times during the walk.
- Hygiene: Promptly and thoroughly clean up after dogs in public areas and return waste bags to the proper disposal areas.
- Communication: Maintain clear and friendly communication with pet owners regarding the dog's behavior, mood, and routine.
- Admin: Accurately log walk times, distances, and any observations in our digital management system.
- Care: Follow specific instructions regarding feeding, water, and any medication administration.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience in dog walking or pet sitting is highly preferred.
- License: Valid Driver’s License and access to a reliable vehicle are required.
- Reliability: Must be punctual, trustworthy, and able to maintain a consistent schedule.
- Physical: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and walk 3+ miles per day in various weather conditions.
- Knowledge: Understanding of dog body language and basic first aid is a plus.
- Passion: A genuine love for dogs and a patient, gentle demeanor.
