Responsibilities
- Scans items and processes payments accurately and efficiently at the register.
- Greets customers warmly and provides friendly, knowledgeable service.
- Handles cash, credit, and debit transactions with strict accuracy.
- Assists with returns, exchanges, and customer inquiries in a professional manner.
- Maintains a clean, organized, and safe checkout area.
- Assists with stocking shelves and maintaining overall store appearance.
- Counts money in the cash drawer at the beginning and end of the shift.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in cash handling or retail sales is preferred but not required.
- Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
