Responsibilities
- Process customer transactions accurately using POS systems while maintaining cash drawer accountability
- Provide exceptional service by greeting customers, answering inquiries, and resolving concerns
- Bag groceries and assist with carryout services for elderly or disabled customers
- Monitor checkout lanes for cleanliness and restock supplies as needed
- Verify product pricing and promotions to ensure accurate scanning
- Collaborate with stock associates to maintain organized store shelves
- Report inventory discrepancies and operational issues to management
Qualifications
- Previous cashier or customer service experience preferred but not required
- Strong numerical accuracy and basic math skills
- Ability to operate POS systems and learn new technologies quickly
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- Flexible availability including weekends, evenings, and holidays
