Responsibilities
- Process customer transactions quickly and accurately using point-of-sale (POS) systems.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit payments while ensuring all transactions are balanced.
- Greet customers warmly and provide product information to enhance their shopping experience.
- Keep the checkout area clean, organized, and fully stocked with necessary supplies.
- Resolve customer inquiries and complaints professionally and efficiently.
- Assist with inventory management and stocking shelves when not at the register.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
- Previous experience as a cashier or in retail sales is a plus but not required.
- Strong mathematical skills with the ability to handle money accurately.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented.
