Responsibilities
- Manage circulation systems with precision, handling complex patron accounts and interlibrary loan operations
- Deliver advanced reference services utilizing specialized databases and research methodologies
- Oversee digital resource management, including cataloging metadata and maintaining digital archives
- Lead outreach programs, coordinating with community organizations for literacy initiatives
- Train and mentor junior staff on library systems and customer service best practices
- Implement circulation policies and troubleshoot technical issues with integrated library systems
- Assist in collection development through data-driven acquisition recommendations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years of progressive library experience with circulation/reference expertise
- Advanced proficiency in integrated library systems (e.g., Sierra, Koha)
- Demonstrated knowledge of digital preservation standards and metadata schemas
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with ability to manage complex patron interactions
- Experience leading community outreach programs or literacy initiatives
- Technical aptitude for troubleshooting AV equipment and digital resources
