Responsibilities
- Manage and curate specialized collections including rare manuscripts and digital archives
- Deliver advanced reference services using cutting-edge research methodologies
- Oversee interlibrary loan operations and digital resource licensing
- Develop and implement community outreach programs for diverse populations
- Train and mentor junior staff in cataloging systems and information literacy
- Manage library technology infrastructure including RFID systems and digital platforms
- Collaborate with university partners on research initiatives and special collections
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Library Science (MLS) or Information Management from ALA-accredited institution
- 5+ years progressive library experience with demonstrated expertise in digital preservation
- Advanced proficiency in integrated library systems (ILS) and metadata standards
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional projects and manage budgets over $100k
- Fluency in Hawaiian language or Pacific Island cultural knowledge preferred
- Experience with grant writing and securing cultural funding
- Professional certification from Special Libraries Association (SLA) or equivalent
