Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning initiatives to identify emerging trends and disruptive technologies impacting 2026+ markets
- Develop and publish annual 'Future State' reports with actionable strategic recommendations for C-suite executives
- Architect innovation roadmaps for AI, quantum computing, biotech, and climate tech verticals
- Facilitate cross-functional workshops with engineering, product, and leadership teams
- Establish partnerships with academic institutions and research labs for collaborative R&D
- Present strategic foresight findings at global industry conferences and board meetings
- Mentor junior futurists and build an internal future literacy program
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or future-focused leadership roles
- Proven track record of translating futuristic concepts into commercial applications
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (AI/ML, quantum, neurotech, etc.)
- Exceptional systems thinking and scenario planning capabilities
- Strong executive presence with experience presenting to C-level audiences
- Published thought leadership in futurism or innovation (whitepapers, books, keynotes)
- MSc/PhD in Futures Studies, Systems Engineering, or related technical field preferred
