Responsibilities
- Execute precise point-of-sale transactions with 99.9% accuracy
- Lead cashier team through complex payment processing including credit, debit, mobile payments, and gift cards
- Resolve customer inquiries regarding pricing, promotions, and merchandise returns
- Conduct daily cash reconciliation and report discrepancies to management
- Maintain organized cash drawer and secure high-value inventory
- Train new cashiers on POS systems and customer service protocols
- Collaborate with sales associates to ensure seamless customer experience
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years cashier or retail experience with proven cash handling expertise
- Proficiency with modern POS systems (Square, Shopify POS, etc.)
- Exceptional mathematical accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong conflict resolution and customer relationship skills
- Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays
- High school diploma or equivalent; college coursework preferred
- Basic knowledge of retail inventory management systems
- Valid Texas driver's license (for potential errands)
