Responsibilities
- Process high-volume cash, credit, and mobile transactions with 99.9% accuracy
- Lead cashier team training and optimize checkout workflows
- Resolve customer payment inquiries and transaction discrepancies
- Execute daily cash management procedures including deposits and reconciliations
- Monitor POS system performance and report technical issues
- Train new associates on payment processing protocols
- Implement upselling strategies during checkout interactions
Qualifications
- 3+ years of cashier experience in high-volume retail environments
- Advanced proficiency with POS systems (e.g., Square, Shopify POS)
- Proven cash handling experience with zero discrepancies
- Exceptional customer service skills with conflict resolution abilities
- Ability to stand 8+ hours and lift 25 lbs regularly
- Basic accounting knowledge for reconciliation processes
- Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
