Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome customers as they enter the store, providing a friendly and professional atmosphere.
- Assist customers in selecting the right tools, equipment, and supplies based on their specific needs.
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system efficiently, processing transactions accurately and handling returns.
- Stock shelves, organize displays, and maintain a clean, safe, and visually appealing sales floor.
- Stay informed about product inventory, pricing, and promotions to answer customer questions effectively.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily sales targets and store goals.
Qualifications
- Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact positively with a diverse customer base.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and making change.
- Ability to lift and carry equipment and supplies weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Reliable attendance and a positive work ethic.
- Familiarity with tools, construction materials, or equipment is a plus.
