As a key member of our circulation and reference services team, you'll work directly with patrons to navigate our extensive digital collections, troubleshoot access issues, and provide personalized research support. Our library embraces modern library science practices and offers comprehensive training on cutting-edge library management systems.
Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional virtual reference services via chat, email, and video conferencing
- Manage digital circulation operations including e-materials checkout and holds
- Develop and maintain remote research guides for diverse patron needs
- Conduct virtual information literacy workshops for students and professionals
- Support collection development through remote usage analytics and patron feedback
- Collaborate with team on digital preservation projects and metadata management
- Assist in optimizing remote access to specialized databases and archives
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Library Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2+ years experience in library circulation or reference services
- Proficiency with integrated library systems (ILS) and digital resource platforms
- Strong remote communication skills with ability to troubleshoot technical issues
- Familiarity with accessibility standards for digital resources (WCAG, ADA)
- Experience creating online learning materials and instructional content
- Ability to work independently while maintaining collaborative team engagement
