Responsibilities
- Process Transactions: Accurately operate point-of-sale (POS) systems to process cash, credit, and debit payments efficiently.
- Customer Service: Greet customers warmly, answer questions about products, and resolve any concerns to ensure a positive shopping experience.
- Cash Management: Maintain accurate cash drawers, balance registers at the end of each shift, and reconcile daily sales reports.
- Store Maintenance: Keep the checkout area clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies (bags, receipt paper, etc.).
- Merchandising: Assist in restocking shelves and organizing the sales floor to maintain an appealing store appearance.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience in retail or cash handling is preferred but not required for motivated candidates.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
- Skills: Strong basic math skills and the ability to handle money accurately.
- Communication: Excellent verbal communication skills and a friendly, professional demeanor.
- Availability: Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
- Requirements: Must be at least 18 years of age.
