Job Description
Join Nexus Quantum Labs at the forefront of computational revolution! We're pioneering quantum algorithms to solve humanity's grandest challenges in drug discovery, climate modeling, and cryptography. As a Quantum Computing Research Scientist, you'll collaborate with Nobel laureates and MIT PhDs to manipulate qubits, design error-corrected architectures, and publish breakthrough papers in Nature and Science.
Our San Francisco lab features 128-qubit cryogenic processors and $50M in IBM/Google quantum cloud resources. Enjoy unlimited wellness stipends, quarterly hackathons in Tokyo, and equity in a unicorn backed by Sequoia Capital. Shape the future of computing before it exists.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization problems
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to calibrate 50+ qubit processors
- Publish peer-reviewed research and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Lead open-source quantum software projects on GitHub
- Mentor PhD interns and junior researchers
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience)
- 2+ years hands-on quantum programming (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Expertise in quantum error correction and topological quantum computing
- Published research in quantum information theory
- Proficiency in Python, TensorFlow Quantum, and high-performance computing
- Experience with superconducting qubits or ion trap systems
