Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to develop error-correction protocols for qubits
- Lead cross-functional projects with AI, physics, and materials science teams
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Secure $1M+ in annual research grants from DARPA and NSF
- Mentor PhD interns in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Present findings at global summits (Quantum Tech World, IEEE QCE)
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum computing platforms (IBM Q, Rigetti, etc.)
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Publication record in quantum information science or high-impact computing
- Proficiency in Python/C++ and quantum simulation frameworks
- Demonstrated ability to secure government or corporate research funding
- Deep understanding of quantum machine learning applications
