Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Develop error-correction protocols and quantum circuit optimization techniques
- Collaborate with hardware teams to integrate quantum software with experimental quantum processors
- Lead cross-functional research projects in partnership with MIT, Stanford, and CERN
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature/Science and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Secure $5M+ in government and private research funding
- Mentor PhD candidates and build next-gen quantum talent pipeline
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Theoretical Physics, or Computer Science with 3+ years postdoc experience
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing journals (minimum 5 papers)
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and classical HPC frameworks
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Experience with superconducting or photonic quantum hardware systems
- Strong track record of securing government research grants (NSF, DARPA, DOE)
- Exceptional problem-solving skills for NP-hard optimization challenges
