Responsibilities
- Provide attentive, personalized service to guests while maintaining knowledge of menu items, wine pairings, and seasonal specials
- Manage table rotations, order entry, and timing to ensure seamless dining experiences
- Process payments accurately and efficiently using POS systems
- Collaborate with kitchen and bar teams to ensure timely delivery of food and beverages
- Maintain clean, well-stocked stations and adhere to all health/safety standards
- Resolve guest inquiries with professionalism and discretion
- Upsell premium menu items and signature cocktails
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year fine dining or high-volume restaurant experience
- Valid DC Food Handler's certification or ability to obtain within 30 days
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure
- Strong wine/beer knowledge and TIPS certification preferred
- Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Professional appearance and demeanor
