Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional customer service at service desks, assisting patrons with circulation, reference inquiries, and technology support
- Organize and maintain library collections, including shelving, inventory, and material processing
- Facilitate engaging programs and events for children, teens, and adults
- Assist with digital literacy initiatives, including device troubleshooting and basic tech training
- Support outreach efforts to underserved communities and promote library resources
- Contribute to a welcoming, inclusive environment for all patrons
- Collaborate with team members on collection development and service improvements
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; library science coursework or certification preferred
- Minimum 6 months customer service experience in a fast-paced environment
- Strong computer proficiency with ability to assist with digital resources
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required
- Basic knowledge of library systems and cataloging principles
