Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional patient care during evening and night shifts, including vital sign monitoring and medication administration
- Assist physicians with clinical procedures and maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR)
- Coordinate patient flow, manage appointment schedules, and prepare examination rooms
- Handle triage calls, assess urgent situations, and escalate appropriately to clinical staff
- Administer injections, perform lab tests, and assist with minor surgical procedures
- Maintain strict HIPAA compliance and infection control protocols
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient transitions
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in a fast-paced healthcare environment
- Strong proficiency in EHR systems (Epic, Cerner, or similar)
- Excellent communication skills with ability to de-escalate urgent situations
- Valid CPR/BLS certification
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- Flexibility to work rotating evening/night shifts (4:00 PM - 1:00 AM)
- Tennessee state license in good standing
