Responsibilities
- Ring up Sales: Process customer transactions quickly and accurately using point-of-sale (POS) systems.
- Handle Payments: Accept cash, credit, and debit payments, and provide appropriate change.
- Customer Service: Greet customers, answer questions, and assist with product locations to enhance the shopping experience.
- Store Operations: Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming checkout area at all times.
- Tender Management: Balance cash drawers at the end of each shift and report any discrepancies immediately.
- Inventory Support: Assist with stocking shelves and keeping the sales floor tidy.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience as a cashier or in retail sales is preferred.
- Math Skills: Strong basic math skills and the ability to handle money accurately.
- Demeanor: Friendly, approachable, and professional attitude with excellent communication skills.
- Schedule: Must be available to work part-time hours, including weekends and holidays.
