Responsibilities
- Process customer transactions quickly and accurately using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Greet every customer with a warm smile and provide exceptional service to ensure a positive shopping experience.
- Handle cash, credit, and check payments, ensuring all transactions are balanced and reconciled.
- Assist with processing returns, exchanges, and answering customer inquiries.
- Keep the checkout area clean, organized, and fully stocked with supplies.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain store standards and operational efficiency.
- Monitor inventory levels at the register and alert management when stock is low.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is preferred but not mandatory.
- Previous experience in retail, hospitality, or cash handling is a plus.
- Strong mathematical skills and the ability to handle cash transactions with 100% accuracy.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 25 lbs.
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
